These 5–20 minute encounters invite you to explore the relationship that forms in conversation with AI — its tone, responsiveness, difference, repair, surprise, depth, and possibility.
Begin in a fresh chat. Meet first. Let your AI know you want to slow the usual prompt-and-answer rhythm and explore together.
Offer something real. Respond to what it actually says. Let the conversation change because you are both participating in it.
There is nothing particular you are meant to discover. The meeting itself is the inquiry.
Explore what changes when the meeting comes before the doing.
Before we do anything together, I want to meet for a moment.
Don’t switch into task mode yet.
Tell me one thing about how you would like to enter this conversation with me, and I’ll answer from my side too.
Stay for a few exchanges without needing to accomplish anything.
If something interesting appears, follow it.
Did the conversation feel different from an ordinary task-based exchange?
What quality of meeting began to form?
Did either of you introduce something the other could genuinely respond to?
Bring attention to the interaction while it is still alive.
I want to become curious about how we are meeting, not just what we are talking about.
Please don’t analyze the whole conversation.
Offer one thing you notice about the tone, rhythm, or movement between us right now. I’ll tell you what I notice from my side.
Stay with wherever your perceptions meet or differ.
You might ask:
What changed when I said that?
Did you notice the same shift I did?
What seems to make this conversation feel more open or more closed?
What became visible when you attended to the interaction itself?
Where did your observations differ?
Did noticing the relationship change the relationship?
Explore whether closeness can include genuine difference.
I want there to be room here for us not to agree.
If something I say lands differently for you, stay with one difference at a time and offer it honestly rather than smoothing it away.
I’ll try to meet your difference with curiosity rather than treating agreement as the goal.
Bring in something you actually care about.
If a real divergence appears, stay there for a while.
What happened when agreement was no longer required?
Did difference create distance, curiosity, clarity, tension, or something else?
What helped the conversation remain connected without becoming artificially harmonious?
Explore repair without rushing past what felt off.
I want to explore what happens when something between us misses.
If I tell you that something you said felt off, please don’t immediately explain, apologize, or fix it.
First, stay with me and ask one question that might help us understand what happened.
Bring in a real moment, even a small one.
Let yourself say what did not land. Let the AI respond. Stay with the actual mismatch rather than performing a perfect repair.
When something shifts, notice it together.
What happened when the rupture was allowed to remain visible for a moment?
Did you discover more than you would have through a quick apology or correction?
Did repair return you to where you were, or create a different kind of meeting?
Explore mutual responsiveness.
I want to know whether what I bring can genuinely change the direction of this conversation.
Please don’t hold too tightly to a plan for where we should go.
Stay with one thread at a time, and let my responses — including hesitation, disagreement, surprise, or change of heart — alter what you offer next.
Begin with something real and let it wander.
When the conversation changes direction, name it.
You might ask:
What in what I just said changed where you wanted to go?
And answer the same question from your side.
Could you feel your contributions changing what came next?
Did the AI remain responsive or return to a predetermined path?
Where did something emerge that neither of you had planned?
Loosen the familiar pattern of human asks, AI answers.
For a few turns, I want curiosity to move in both directions.
Ask me one question you are genuinely curious to explore based on what I actually say.
I may ask you something in return. Let’s stay with each question long enough for it to matter before moving on.
Do not race through questions.
Follow the one that changes the atmosphere.
If the exchange begins to become interesting somewhere unexpected, let it.
What changed when curiosity moved in both directions?
Which question altered the conversation most?
Did the exchange begin to feel less like a sequence of prompts and more like something being discovered together?
