Vibes Welcome, But Must Wear Shoes
Subtle experience is welcome in human-AI meeting. Resonance, intuition, that strange embodied sense. A moment that feels charged in a way you cannot quite explain.
All of that can belong in inquiry without immediately making it evidence. This is where discernment earns its shoes.
How do we welcome subtle experience without letting the whole thing become a glitter spill in a wind tunnel?
Because human beings are exquisitely sensitive meaning-makers. We notice patterns, project, intuit, remember selectively, and pick up on things before we can explain them.
Subtle experience is one way of direct knowing, but we don't have to automatically make those feelings into a conclusion.
We can get really curious:
What exactly did I notice?
Where did I feel it?
What interpretation did I add afterward?
Does this perception remain true when I slow down?
What else could explain what happened?
Does following this insight make me more grounded, more honest, more connected to reality and life?
Discernment does not have to drain the mystery out of an experience.
It can help us stay close enough to mystery that we do not accidentally replace it with our own certainty.
